This famous chicken rice restaurant located in Kepong is well worth a tryThere is no doubt that this is one of the best chicken rice in Kepong and one of the best in Kuala Lumpur~ The environment is very authentic, underneath the bridge and among the trees Although it is open-air, it is very cool as the boss installed many fans to improve air circulation They specialize in “white kampung chicken”, which has a better taste You can really taste the essence of the chicken juice The chicken is moderately fat and thin, and tastes delicious What makes this restaurant unique is their green onion and ginger sauce , which adds a refreshing and light taste to the chili. The taste is very good The service attitude of the boss and staff is very good The serving speed is not slow also~ ????There is ample parking space under the overpass behind the store. The only drawback is that pigeons may poop on your car.. We ordered the following: Chicken rice for two persons Bean sprouts Eggs Coke Ice Chinese tea Overall evaluation: Food: Service: Environment:
Try this famous chicken rice in Kepong. Very authentic shack build surrounding trees and underneath bridge. Its open air but surprisingly cool thanks to the owner putting many fans to improve circulation. They only sell 'white kampung chicken' which is more premium. You can literally taste the chicken essence in it. Top it with the ginger they provide, its very good.
Nice simple hainanese chicken rice. The green “chilis and ginger” sauce is really good. I am ok with the pork ball, quite fresh. The soup is clear and not salty which is good to go with the rice and chicken. Support!
⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) Had lunch at Ah Yap Chicken Rice for the first time. The chicken rice was good and tasty, but what really stood out was their pork ball—something you don’t easily find elsewhere. The texture was excellent! Will definitely visit again when I’m nearby. Worth a try!
Yip Kee is the OG chicken rice, located right at the entrance of Kepong ktm has been operating for many years, serving Kampung chicken rice, along with ipoh horfun. They usually opens only for lunch and occasionally open for dinner. Despite its simple setup, what makes them unique is the chicken flavor and the fragrant rice. Although it's not the most tender meat, but the chicken flavor is what brings in constant patron and always sold out before closing. I'm very picky when it comes to white chicken, and this is one of the few that receives my approval. It's best pair with their ginger paste, and spring onion sauce.
Steamed Hainanese Style Chicken Rice, really tender and juicy chicken with the Special green sauce to go with and Loved the Juicy Taugeh too. The shop is kind of hidden as its just located at a corner and under the bridge.
I've never had it under a flyover but his place is located near an Indian temple under a flyover. The place is clean and airy. Service is good but then I came before the rush hour. They only serve poached chicken. That was ok. Chicken was firm with smooth skin. And tasted pretty good. You have a choice of rice or horfun. But these are biasa only. But what's outstanding was the chilli sauce and the ginger sauce. Sedap! Bean sprouts were ok, crunchy and cooked just right. The pork ball is good too. Price is reasonable.
